Me with one out of the slot. Had to get him back to the boat to measure him and he was 29" so I let him go. He thanked me and took off.

Their's is the little brother to ours, only 50 miles long while ours is 320 miles long. But it seems they have better fish.

Hey Cfishn, you googled the wrong New River. Ours is the Onslow County New River. It is very unique in that it starts and ends in the same county. I think it's the only river in the US that does that. It's a couple of miles wide in some places. It starts in Richlands, NC winds down thru Jacksonville, NC and dumps into the Atlantic just past Sneads Ferry at North Topsail Beach. I live on the river in Jacksonville and have been around the river all my life. I'll post some pics of the river later.
