Here are a few pictures of my recent purchase. Got it in late-November but it's been under cover ever since due to work related travel and the weather. Last weekend I was finally able to start her up (in the driveway, but it's a start). It's a 1996, but looks brand new. As it's my first boat, what the heck do I know anyway.....

Robert,
Nice rig their pal. *thumbsup*

I can still remember my first boat. It was a 14' wooden garvey with a 18hp evinrude tiller motor that me and my grandpop used to fish out of when I was a child at the age of 9. When he passed on I was 13 and my grandmother gave it too me and said "Pop wanted you to have his boat and take care of it"

Thanks throrpe. I looked far and wide for the right boat at the right price. I considered used Whalers, Wahoos and Carolina Skiffs and it took me about a year to find it. I had to widen my search area and bought it from a guy in Jacksonville, NC, about 4 hours away. He had it custom painted and it looks great (Tarheel blue), but it makes me wonder if he was covering something up. I paid $4,600 for the boat/engine/trailer and think I got a steal. The pessimist in me continues to look for a fault, but so far I can't find one. Hoping I got lucky, but won’t feel comfortable until I own it for at least a season.
