just bought a 16 ft skiff and wondering if will fit in my garage on a trialer-how much room will i need for lenght?

really depends on what trailer it sits on. the J16 i had was actually on a larger trailer made for a 20' boat, so my tounge was WAY long. i would guess somewhere in the 20'-22' total length if you have a "normal" length trailer. i could be way off, i'm going off memory of J16s i've seen around. someone else should be able to measure their rig for you!

My J-16 is sitting on an EZ Loader EZB 14-17 model trailer. The total length from coupler to back of motor is 21 feet. That trailer will handle boats to 17 ft., so if you got a trailer specifically for a 16 footer you could probably shave a foot off that length. Hope you enjoy your new boat!

I am the happy owner of a new JV-17. With a C-5 Continental trailer it is a 20' 6" line. Yours should be about that depending on what trailer you'll have.
