Okay, it's really not a CS problem at all, but since it's related to the whole JVX20 purchase, I figure you guys will love this...
The dealer apparently has not paid off my other boat!!! The lender called today and said I am late on my payment. I was like are you kidding me, I haven't even gotten my payment book yet. No friends, it's the OTHER boat loan!!!
Un freaking real... What an effing nightmare this has become. It'll be a DAMN miracle if I ever fish again... This has been thee worst experience of my 41 years on this planet.
They can take this boat and shove it for all I care. I truly don't even think I'll take it back at this point. What a joke!!!
This just cannot be happening.... is Rod Serling just around the corner saying something to you guys that I can't hear???

Redneck, got rope, lets ride.

Jeez man, I'm really sorry this is happening to you. Not a great way to start your skiffin days. I think at this point I would seek legal counsel.

So they've had the boat over a week now. They say they couldn't find any problems with the engine cuting out & shutting off while underway.
The dry-rotted looking fuel line in the boat that I demanded be changed is still in the boat. I went for a ride with the service guys, the boat died TWICE while I was in it!!! Funny that they had I over a week and ran it NUMEROUS times, I get there and make it crap the bed TWICE inside of 30 minutes.

Ohh man, i think you are curshed. ;D
I really feel for you,I was in the same spot a few years ago with a VERY expensive express i had.
I think you sould hire a lawyer as soon as possible.
They said that everything was o.k , but when you went out with them the boat clanced(sp ?) out twice in half hour. They are lying to you, or you are curshed .No, seriouslly, you should get legal advise/help.

You didn't take the boat with you did you????????? (LEAVE IT THERE!!!!)
1. If you can't get a hull swap
2. do like some of the smarter-folks-than-me are saying on here, retain a land-shark (lawyer),
The same motor would go on a 218dlx or I believe a198dlv, and if you can get a hull that is "last years" model, go 21' PERIOD, could be a no money for bigger boat thing..........

I had the same problem with My engines cutting off and found that it was the fuel line checkvalve on the tank. I have the aluminum tank and where the line comes out of the tank there is a screwed on check valve. I replaced it with a free flowing fitting and that fixed it. $2 is all it took. My dealer is now doing that to all the aluminum tanks that come in and that saves them time and $$$$$. If you have that kind of fitting you might take it off and try it.
good luck

Lo & Behold, Service just called me. Seems that after they replaced ALL the fuel lines (Like I suggested a week ago!) The boat isn't shutting off any longer!!! Those a$$holes thought I was just another know-nothing customer... Maybe this old dog does have a few more hunts left in him...!!!

I still say with all your other issues, I'd "hunt" some legal advise or as others suggested, a rope. Good luck.

If I need rope it ain't gonna be around my neck, I'll promise you that. I ain't spending another penny on this deal. No dirtbag lawyer is going to get my cash.
I am going to make the best of it and if I happen to run it aground wide open and the fuel tank tears loose during impact causing a generous spray of atomized fuel under the console while the crushing force of the sudden stop happens to bend the stainless radio mount bracket which just happens to cross the positive & negative terminals of the fuse panel, then I guess that'll friggin be that won't it?!?!
