Hey John, I guess you have the gps sold according to ebay. Wish I had known you had it cause I just picked up a garmin etrex venture hc at walmart last night. It was the cheapest one I could find with a color screen and basemap $155.00. I'm sure yours was better. I have just checked this one out a little and the basemap seems to suck for marine or I just don't know how to use it. I was just going to use it untill I can save up for a good gps/ff combo. I'm going to call Boe Marine tomorrow who was recommended by someone on here to see if they have any of the 498c's left. They are about 500.00 and a good unit from what I'v heard. They are discontinued though so may be hard to find.
