Chesapeake Bay?
LTJ? Trolling?
Disregard - I didn't notice the Tretch response.
Were you trolling it on a spinning rod?

Kenny;
Sure looks like I missed a great day! I was just getting ready to PM you to see how you did! That is a very nice fish for anywhere, but especially nice for the James. Congratulations!

FYI
I caught it with a light weight trolling rod using a stretch 25. I was fishing in the mouth of the James river in about 27 feet of water.

Awesome fish.
I love those Stretch 15s & 25s but up here on my part of the Bay they are scoffed at - no one uses them. I had a Rockfish this spring straighten the back treble hook on a 15. I assume it was a rock; guess I can't rule out a big drum.. Anyway, I replaced the trebles on the 15s with 4X hooks. I believe the hooks on the 25 & 30s are already 4X.

The hooks on the newer stretches are larger than the orginal. The new ones have two hook sets vs the orginal that had three.
