Here's a picture of my first Cobia taken in the Charolette Harbor area. This was probably taken about 8 years ago (scanned photgraph)
My wife's uncle Lives in Ft. Myers and we try to get down as much as we can. I am hooked on those snook and reds in the skinny water. I would LOVE to get a Tarpon !!
Anyways, we were using live white baits, under bobbers for trout in the grass when I got slammed !! I lost the fish real quick and reeled in as fast as I could and casted my rig back to the same spot, where I instantly hooked up again .
After about a 20 minute fight on light tackle, I got this baby to the boat. The guide told me that these fish sometimes swim in packs or in "two's" and I probably got the second one after missing the first.... 006
All I know is it was fun and I won the fishing pool for the day !!! ;D

Almost forgot, It wieghed 22 pounds.
