Fishing buddy and I went down to Shell Landing Sunday afternoon and put in for Bear Inlet about 1:00 pm. Everybody was leaving and said they hadn't caught anything. No trout and no spots. Surf was too rough to get out to look for redfish in the surf so we started working the banks for something, anything. Found three nice trout, 20"-22" long is all we got. Sorry for no pictures, I left my camera in the other truck. First one was on a Refish spinner, slow rolled off the points, when my buddy saw that he put down his gulp and threw a super spook and picked up the second one on top close to the same area. The third one was on the spinner again from the channel coming out. Quit early and went back to the ramp and ate supper at the Red Top. Man they have some good seafood. A little windy but a good afternoon of fishing.*Cheers*
If you haven't been there lately, as we hadn't, be careful. The bars have moved, alot. One guy came by us and my buddy made the comment that he hoped they knew where they were going. I said we'll know soon enough. He was on a CC 21'-22' Sea Pro, or something like that, I could hardly see he came by so fast. About 100 yds beyond us we found out that he didn't know as much as he thought he did. Skidded right up on the bar, one of those I mentioned earlier, and the last time we saw him a 12' jon boat was pulling him back to the ramp. I guess he sheared a pin or something. Needless to say he didn't leave the way he came in. rotflmaorotflmaorotflmao Sorry, I shouldn't laugh, it could be me next time.*kickrock**kickrock**kickrock**008**008*
