Yesterday was the maiden voyage of our new skiff.
I was so excited about getting the new boat in water, and the weather was trying to make me wait until the last possible moment! Nothing serious just a fog bank that didn't want to lift.
When we finally arrived at our destination, the low tide was so low, it wasn't even funny. We managed to get back into a few spots and get some fishing done. On one of my first few casts using a Super Spook, a small Jack stepped up and hit. I was excited to grab my first fish on my new boat.
I probably spoke too soon as after a few initial hits, the tide went slack and that was all she wrote! We used the trolling motor and fished the mangroves looking for some Reds or Snook. Nothing. In fact the most excitement we had was a pair of dolphin that fished with us for a couple hours, they seemed to be very succcessful catching the fish they were targeting!
