Folks,
I bought this used, and the previous owner didn't have an owner's manual. I bought a Suzuki DF60 service manual, but that only covers the technical items. It doesn't say how I should winterize. Would anyone out there mind looking in their owner's manual and find out if Suzuki recommends fogging? If someone was willing to copy and mail me the relevant pages I'd pay you for copies and postage.

Thanks in advance.

brevoortia,

I have a owner's manual for the DF90, DF115, DF140 and under storage procedure it says:

1. Change the gear oil.

2. Change the engine oil.

3. Use fuel stabilizer in tank.

4. Flush the water passages.

5. Readjust the water flow and run the motor for 5 minutes to distribute the stabilizer.

6. SPRAY SUZUKI FOGGING OIL into the air inlet untill motor starts to smoke.

7. Stop engine, disconnect water.

8. Remove spark plugs and spray fogging oil into holes. Rotate flywheel by hand to distribute oil and to drain
water pump.

9. Lubricate all other parts and spray entire powerhead with a rust preventative, not a penetrating oil.

10. Wax the outside.

11. Store upright.

I shorted it some but you can get the idea. Hope this helps.

One other note; I would use never-seize on the spark plugs threads. Sam (Sam's Boats) told me he does this to all the motors that he services.
