I am heading down to Holden Beach this weekend and wanted to know if any one knew of any ramps or available slips; also is parking with a trailer a big problem?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Bill

I looked online and found these public ramps:

Intracoastal Waterway: Brunswick County - Holden Beach NC
NC 130 to Holden Beach. Left and 0.2 mile, left. The access area is on the left under the NC-130 bridge.
Intracoastal Waterway: Brunswick County - Oak Island NC
From Southport, take NC-211 west to NC-133, follow NC-133 south to SR-1101, turn left and area is 1/2 mile on left.
Intracoastal Waterway: Brunswick County - Sunset Harbor NC
At the junction of US-17 and NC-211 near Supply, N.C., travel southeast on NC 211 approximately 7 miles to junction of NC-21 and SR-1112. Follow SR-1112 south to access area.

I plan to be down there on Saturday morning..The ramp with the best parking is the Public access at fish factory Rd. word to the wise this Saturday will be wall to wall with boats down there, if you are not at a ramp before 6:30a, you better plan on walking back a long time back to the ramp...*kickrock*

Bill,

I hear there is a great big spanish bite along the beach..Saturday I'll most likely be hanging out at Yupon Reef (AR 425), just a few miles off the beach, for starts and then take it from there to maybe 10-15 miles out...*thumbsup*
Shout at me on 72...:secret:;D

Will do Hector.

I was thinking about leaving late Friday night from Chapel Hill, but more likely leave 3 AM on Saturday.

Bill,

If you are staying on Holden Beach, use the ramp there under the bridge. It's a 40 minute ride by car to get to Sunset Harbor or Southport(with no traffic). There's usually enough parking there. If it is too crowded you can try launching at Varnamtown, which is the next closest ramp(5 minutes) but you'll have to pay for parking. Have a fun and safe weekend.*Cheers*
