Swansboro 8-17-09

Tried Swansboro for some reds this morning. The water looked like strong tea with all the fresh water from the White Oak River....all the way to the Emerald Isle bridge. Tried several normally productive spots but came up blank. Had one boil a topwater but it quickly went back to sleep. Caught 1 lizard fish just to keep from being skunked.*laughing*
Tomorrow I am going to try Morehead area. Gotta be better than what I found today.
I did get to test my new prop. Finally got the rpm's up where they need to be and the boat turns without fighting it. A bit slower now so I will need more coffee on board.

Dave I ended up with a Solas 11.63x11 aluminum prop. Turns exactly 6000rpm. Can't believe I got it right the first try. Now I have enough rpm to take someone with me (hint!!!hint!!!)*laughing*
