Harry just noticed this posting.........nope, not even a good story to tell, except a week ago I took a fall and hit the running boards on the truck real hadr with the small of my back, cracked the runner too, but luckily not the back or any ribs. Right now there is about a 1/2 hour left in the rifle season and here I sit at the computer, deerless, and with a sore back. Got out all of one day....... oh well there is the blackpowder muzzle loader season after Christmas. Gonna go then after I get back from Texas........ 010 010

I see you sold the boat............... 012 012

Thank you Willie, my little ole 7mm-08. Feels like a bb on my end and a cannon on the other. 012

This is a little 4 pt my 12 year old nephew got this year, NEVER pulled a trigger before that morning other than a bb gun. 125 yards, dead deer where he was standing. I bout sh!t my pants. That's the 7-08 laying on the deer. Check where the bullet came out. That boy is going to be a hunter. Now, if I can only get him into fishing.

Yep, sounds like one of them hunting lies but I swear, he had NEVER shot a gun before that morning. I took him the week before, spent about an hour going over gun things with him and about 5:00 pm, he gets a migrane so, back to the truck. That morning I asked did he remember what we had went over and he assured me he had and boy, nobody was any more surprised than I was. I thought at best, I would be tracking a wounded deer all morning. It has to be one of the best high lights of my whole hunting life. I'm sure, we BOTH will not forget that morning.
