I'm about to take the plunge and fork over some hard-earned jack for a Skiff. I like the value and setup for the fishing I do. Please post comments on dealership recommendations. I've gotten a number of quotes (2180 DLX with 115) from Florida dealerships, and they vary widely! I would rather order and wait than take something on the lot that does not fit what I want (most want you to "take it or leave it.") Will drive to save money as I have plenty of service options nearby. Suggestions, please.

Have you tried Advantage Marine Dade City Fl I think. MIght try Satilla Marine in Waycross, Ga where Carolina Skiff is located. They just made a big order and can still add to the order at the negotiated price. I am buying a 2180 bare hull from them taking the deposit Monday and it is an add on equals best price I have found for the hull. They are a Yamaha dealer.

Redfish,
Got mine at Sam's Boats in Franklinville, N.C. Great people to deal with, you talk to Sam or Sam Jr. no salesman, and a great price. Boat, motor and trailer are set up right. If you are willing to travel call him at 336-498-7543.

Chatlees marine in Sanford NC. I drove from west central Fla after doing what you have been doing trying to get a decent deal from a Fla dealer. Found my best deal at chatlees. Ask for Nat and challange him with online pricing from Ed's. You will get a great deal and service.

I also drove from NW Florida to Sanford, N.C. to buy from Chatlee. With all the options and accessories included in their price it turned out to be the best deal for me. Did all the dealing over the phone, negotiated for about 10 seconds on the price (asked if they would do the same deal for me that another person got.....they said "yes" and I said "sold"), and picked the boat up about 5 days later. The entire delivery transaction took less than an hour (test ride on their private lake included) and went exactly as advertised. I was very pleased to find the boat equipped better than I anticipated. I've had the boat for 26 months, accumulated 600+ hours and have had no troubles at all. In short, I'm very pleased with both the boat and transaction, and would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
