traps, baskets handline or????

What do you like to use and why? I'm a box trap guy myself. Dont like the 3 sides ones. I never tried the baskets before and Faz has me looking at how to set up a trotline.....

Last couple of years I always had a com. size pot in at the marina. When we went out crabbin, the box traps are for me. Never used a trot line. This year I picked up 10 new topless traps in MD. They are box traps without the top, they can be stacked real easily fitting inside the bottom one. Also got them with line and a marker buoy. Just bait em up and put them out, but dont leave the are, gotta keep working them just like the regular box trap. Can drop them oput in a long row and just keep going back and forth checking them like you would a trot line, only you can get more crab in each box. Found them on the Blue Crab info .com page... Lots of great crabbin info on this site also...
