New NC Boating Safety Requirements

North Carolina recently passed legislation (on 7/10/09) changing, or instituting, boater safety education requirements to operate a vessel with a 10hp motor or greater (Senate Bill 43). The new law does not take effect until May 2010, and generally only affects boaters under 26 years of age.

This law is very similar to what is in effect in other states and should have the same effect ! *006*

1. Create a few jobs . :secret:
2. Generate funding from a private company who dose the testing online *001*
3. Give the law makers a reason to pat them selves on the back !:secret:
4. Cover almost no one who is not on a wet bike !*016*

This is A Weak law ! *004*
If your from out of state !*015*
If your on a boat with a 26 yo person !*015*
That's 99% of all Boats ! *006*

It's a money making joke ! :eek:


Now wet bikes ? *008* I just try to stay away from them !


The best thing that comes out of this kind of law is if they really have classroom classes and you get something to do in the off season and you get to do it with your Kids !
