Fished Brigantine and Longport Nj over the weekend for Striped bass and came up empty. All in all had about 12 hours of surf fishing in, mornings in Lonport and evenings in Brigantine....Watched the boats drifting by in the GE inlet, couple of CS's, and didn't see them doing all that well either.....May have been my last outing for this year. :(....................Willie Is anybody fishing down south, we love reports and pictures up here in the north...........keeps us going for the long winter months.............. 010

Down south...well here in savannah, ga the seatrout bite is on fast and furious! I have been out several days in a row now and have caught my share of trout and a few reds everyday. You dont even have to know how to trout fish to catch one right now, they are absolutely everywhere. For every one you keep you catch about 6 shorts so its busy fishing! unfortunately my gal took my camera 3 hrs away so i cant show off these gorgeous fish! Y'all come on down! we can put you on some trout and send ya back with a cooler full of fillets! I hope to have my camera back this weekend so for the several trips i have planned next week especially the annual day after thanksgiving trip i will hopefully be able to share some of these fish with ya! Catch a big striper and take me a picture! and no last outing for the year.....fishing is a year round hobby! (although it may be significantly colder up there compared to GA, lol)

Ok Matt, rub it in. LOL ;)

Not a darn thing happening at Beaufort/Ft. Macon last weekend. Big low pressure throwing 15 - 25kt winds straight down the inlet on Saturday. The boat got a good salt water washing.

Willie,
My brother-in-law had a couple keeper bass this weekend near the longport rock pile, while I was in SC.

My other buddy had 20 pounders in 30' of water off AC. I am off today(raining) and tomorrow and might try to give it a go then. Of course todays wind is calling for 5 MPH out of the NW and tomorrow 10-15 from the south.... 004

kooj,

Just about everyone else in the family has got to work on turkey day to get x-mas off, so I can cook or go fishing, hard choice, (ya right). So I'am heading down thus. morning. Got to be at work on monday, (I think) so I'll leave on Sunday. Look for the skiff with the ugly fish graphics on the side, there only one, we'll get to meet and maybe do so fishing with Shakespears, he is heading down there too for the weekend. Hopefully the weather and fishing will be good. 012

Went out Tues in my buddies boat in the ocean around the dog lump, nothing. not much bird activity either. They started diving just before set down and the screen was lit up, but no fish.

Went out in my boat yesterday and stayed in the back near some holes that usually produce, same result as the day beforwe, nothing.

I used to go PA hunting every year and looked
FWD to the Hunt after Thanksgiving. Got away from it about 8 years ago.

Wow cannot believe your coming up skunked. 001 006 It seems like the last 2-3 days things have really seen things picking up off the surf in Brigantine.........if you get up that way and stop in at Riptides, tell Capt. Andy or Fred that Willie from NEPA said hi. I am itching to get down, but its just not in the cards...........have a good one ..Willie........... 010

What can I say. I haven't really been putting the time in, so I guess I don't deserve it.

My Brother in law fished the Maynards striper tourny today and came in 4th with a 40" bass. They also had one 35" . They were drifting along the Rocks heading towards the Lonport jetty with eel's. (The one's that line the road on the inside of the throuofare) (sp)?

I was stuck working today, tomorrow too..... 004 Must have been 40 boats drifting that inlet too .. ::)
