I Know there are a lot of folks on this site that use High Rock Lake so, you know what the lake and community have been fighting for years. This is the LAST meeting for the new license for Alcoa. PLEASE, try to attend.
Hi Ron,
Your presence is REALLY needed at what will most likely be the last public meeting for the relicensing of FERC Project 2197 at High Rock Lake.
Date: November 14, 2007
Time: 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. (EST)
Place: James Varick Auditorium
Address: Livingstone College, 701 West Monroe Street,
Salisbury, NC 28144
This may be our last chance to convince FERC to “Do the Right Thing” and limit drawdowns at High Rock to no more than 6 feet. Speaking at the meeting is optional but your support for those choosing to speak is crucial!! You can find more details about our efforts on the SaveHighRockLake.org NEWS page.
Please make your plans to attend the meeting (click on the address above for a map) and forward this message to everyone you know who has an interest in protecting the environment and recreational safety at High Rock Lake
