Well since I recommended this new general forum, I thought I would at least post something 010

I wet slip my skiff and it is bottom painted. I forgot to paint the transducer and now I have a ton of growth on it. Does anyone have any tips for removing this growth? Should I scrape it off before pulling it out of the water?

Regarding your bottom paint, did you apply a barrier coat before applying the anti fouling paint. If so, what brand and type of each (barrier and anti-fouling). Are you satisfied with the results?

I'm studying what kind of barrier coat and anti-fouling paint to apply and need help.

Thanks

No, we sanded, applied a primer and then two coats of bottom paint.

YOU DO NOT put bottom paint on transducers!!!!!! They have a special paint for transducers, the copper in the paint can REALLY screw things up,its even stated in all the owners manuals. Flipper
