Found this pig rooting around in some flooded grass this evening. He gladly smoked a chartreuse/gold Top Dog and ran for his life. Measured 27 1/4 (figures) and weighed 7lbs 15oz. Hope he and his buddies stay put til July's Redfish Action.*018*

Nice job Tparkin *Cheers*
You don't want him on tournament day, you want his slightly shorter twin ;D
:secret: I'm heading out in the AM to see if I can find a couple.
Gregg
P.S. Nice sticker *thumbsup*

Thanks Gregg.
Yeah, some of his siblings appeared to be a tad shorter but they were pretty tangled up in the grass...fun watching them but difficult to get something to them that they would take. Had a few little guys pop at the top water out on the main bank but the big fellas were deep up in the grass. I was able to pole up near them and tried a few weedless presentations but nothing that would produce. I'm just glad to finally catch some on top water this year...7 on Saturday and then this big guy...maybe things are looking up.

Nice Red
Nice Tommy *thumbsup* That's one well fed redfish and it sounds like the feed is (finally) on here at the Crystal Coast! ;D
You and Eel are puttin' it on em this week. I hope you fellows do well in all of the tournaments this season *Cheers*
As a side note, I got a report yesterday, from another of our CCC members, that the creeks off the Neuse are starting to produce good numbers of slot reds, as the water temps have steadily risen over the past few days. Still gotta find the fish but when you do, they're hungry... and staying aggressive for a couple hours or more.

You killing me. I'm coming back to Atlantic this weekend, no boat, no rod, no reel. Going to a damn wedding. Oh well, we will eat and drink good. Congrats.
*Cheers*

I definitely like fishin' that area and wish I got up that way more often. Maybe I'll get some prefish days up there before the next tourney...of course, I hate to stray from the caliente bite around the old 'boro...
