I would like to thank all members present at our CFC of CSO Captains meeting this past Friday, 22nd of May. *018* I also want to thank all those who send in their inputs for our summer tournament, which we finally had approved by those in attendance at the Captains meeting. I hope all members had a very nice holiday weekend, and I am looking foward to your participation in our tournament...*Cheers* Please fine enclosed our tournament format:

Tournament Dates: 30 May through 29 November 2009

Entry Fee: Registration fee will be $25.00, per Division. Registration will be in effect through out the season until 1 Nov. Members wishing to participate must register 10 days prior to their first weigh in.


Members wanting to participate in this tournament should send an email to the tournament coordinator, in order to receive the address to send registration and Division entry fees, and should be prepared to make payment by personal check or money order. Cash my also be accepted at monthly Captains meeting.

Prize Money Disbursement: Prize money will be paid to the three top places in each divisions, as follows: 1st Place 50%, 2nd Place 30% and third place 20%, with the exception of the TWT which will only pay one place. Fish will be described in their respective species division according to weight, measured in pounds and ounces. Heaviest total season weight wins first place, 2nd total season weight wins second place and third total season weight wins 3rd place. In the event of a tie, the weight first entered will be declared the place winner with the other tying weight dropping to the next place. A member is allowed to take only one place in each species Division.


Eligibility: All CFC of CSO members and their immediate family members (spouse and children under age 16) are eligible to participate in this tournament on the member’s registration fee. Children 16 and over will be required to pay the appropriate fee. Prior to entering a fish in the tournament, the member must first have received a written (email) confirmation of receipt that all applicable entry fees have been paid. All registrations fees must be received 10 days prior to first weigh in day.

Tournament Fishing Boundaries: The tournament boundaries will be set in accordance with the established boundaries of CFC of CSO.

Eligible Species: Species Divisions are set as follows:





Inshore Division ($25.00)

Flounder
Red Fish
Speckled Trout
Spanish Mackerel

Offshore Division ($25.00)

Bluefish
King mackerel
Dolphin
Cobia
Grouper

TWT ($25.00)

100% pay off to member with the over all heaviest total weight.




Division Entry Requirements: In order for a fish to be eligible for entry into the tournament, the fish must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

1. The member must have paid the tournament and any applicable division entry fees and have received payment acknowledgment prior to the fish being caught.

2. Only legal hook and line method of fishing is allowed.

3. The fish must be legal to possess, and must meet the minimum or “slot” limit specifications for legal possession, as set forth in local, state, and federal fishing regulations.

4. Fish caught on a charter boat, or with a guide or by use of a guide service are not eligible for entry in this tournament. Only fish caught in their or other chapter member Carolina skiff are eligible.


5. The member must email to the tournament coordinator a digital photograph*, to include (in the same photo) the fish, and at least some portion of the upper body and face of the eligible member holding the fish. Though not disqualifying, it is encouraged that the photo also include a recognizable portion of a Carolina Skiff in the foreground/background of this image. A digital photo of a completed "Details” form, must be submitted by email, along with the photograph. The photo and form should be submitted as soon as practical, but must be received not later than 7 days from the date the fish was caught. Only one fish per week within the division species can be entered. The tournament results will be posted and updated weekly at the CFC of CSO Forum. Good luck to all...*Cheers*

I wish I could have been there. Sound like you guys did a bang ug up job putting this thing together *thumbsup*. Count me in-I'll make my donation to the cause. Don't think I'll be able to out do the Likes of Gunnar in shore and You off shore *008*. BUt who knows EVEN A BLIND HOG WILL FIND AN ANCRON ONCE-IN-A-WHILE. *021* Allright get the gloves on, looks like the challenge is on. *015*

To make it interesting we are going to stick to rule #4, the Carolina Skiff will be the fishing platform..;D..It can be from your Skiff or any other Chapter members Carolina Skiff..*thumbsup*

Super job setting up the tournament guys! I really like the way you split up the tournament into three catagories... may have to borrow some of your ideas for our (CCC of CSO) fall tournament *thumbsup*
