There's quite a bit of talk about the Garmin here. I've just ordered a Hummingbird 787C2I (internal antenna) Sounder/GPS Combo after reading several positive reviews. Anyone here use one or have anything pro/con to say about these units. Should get mine in on Monday and will post a review in a few weeks after I get familiar with and a little bit of experience using it. I understand the antenna won't shoot thru a hard T-top due to the metal plate typically used in the fiberglass construction. Speakin' of GPS's, if you got any secret "inshore" or "nearshore" numbers around eastern Carolina waters, I'd be more than happy to plug them into my new unit to see how they work - - - - 012

Hey Sarge, does your hummingbird have the side imaging and if so, how is it. Have seen it in West Marine but heard nothing about it.

Nope, no side imaging on mine FLboy3. I did get a second power cable and hook it up to my lawn mower battery so I can play with it indoors - add coordinates and increase my understanding of the features. The more I learn, the more I like this unit!
