Hi folks,
Appearntly the word is getting out about our site. 010

I was contacted by a Carolina Skiff Rep, with praises about our site here.

She told me they love the site, and really like hearing what members have to say about the CS boats, good & bad.
She also said she read somewhere in one of our threads about the CS T-tops and not being very good and wants our input on helping them make them better. We'll here, see for yourself........

Hey Harry!
Love your website! I have visited several times. It's good for us to see the owners feedback.

We are always looking to better our products. I noticed on one of the subjects about our t-tops that some of the members weren’t too happy about them not being top quality. Can you give us some suggestions on how to make them better? All feedback helps.
Thanks,

Sabrina Spires

So as you guys can see for yourself CS DOES care, and wants to hear from you, CS owners or potential buyers!!!
Nice to see a company wanting input from the very people that actually use their product.

And we are getting recongnized too !!! 010

I agree with Willie, it's also nice to see CSO getting some recognition. Too bad I don't have a t-top :(

Sabrina (Carolina Skiff).... If you see this....

With all due respect....

Can you explain why the 1780 and 1980 DLX have 22 inch Inside Gunwale heights? It makes the boat almost impossible to ancor in a shallow water on a windy day. They catch way to much wind. They were much better back in the day.....

009 Guys this thread wasn't started as a complaint department 001

May I suggest you post something such as, "does your skiff catch too much wind and blow you around the bay?"
Or "is your steering wheel too small and what is the remedy?" in the approraite topics.

1) They will see the posts.
2) You may get some help or answers from our members
3) Your posting will help our database grow and help increase our ranking on the WWW.

They will not comment on here as a Q&A forum it just won't happen.
I also suggest if you have any CS issue you need addressed, I have found that they are more than willing to answer any question you have VIA direct e-mail to them through there home site. I have communicated many times to them this way and have always recieved a response back from them.

on a side note:
I have a 90 Suzuki on my 198 DLV w/cable steering and seems to work out fine for me.

Thanks Again for all your support and particapation

I don't have a t-top on my j-14 but plan on putting one on my 2480 dlx. I will be getting an after market mainly because the CS t's are to small. Or all the ones i'v seen are anyway. They look like the tops about 3 1/2' x 4 1/2. I would want mine to be 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 x 7 to 8' to give any kind of shade or protection from the sun. Their t-top looks like it would fit my j-14. And they are priced a little high for the size.

Interesting post, especially since I'm having a hard time getting them to speak to me about my issue.

I followed your advice and sent an email to the "Contact us" link on their main website.
I sent the following:
-----------------------------
I have an issue with my 198 V-Series.
I have severe blistering of the gelcoat. I did not agree with the assesment I reveived from Trish in the Warranty department and asked her to please have the manager get in touch with me. It's been about a week and I haven't received a call. I left a second voice mail with the warranty department today.

I would really like the opportunity to discuss this issue with someone at CS.

I do not believe this issue is a result of gelcoat imperfections. It is more like the gelcoat is getting ready to completely come off of the hull.

I have posted this issue on a couple of boat related forums.
www.carolinaskiffowner.com
www.thehulltruth.com
Look for posts from "Skiff_rick" if you care to see the discussions related to my issue.

Any assistance you could offer in helping me get a call back on this would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards;
