NJ over nighter

Left yesterday at 3 pm for an over night trip . Fished the Wilmingtion canyon. Got 1 75 lb yellow fin tuna, 10 Decent sized Mahi, 1 Swordfish, 1 GIANT blue shark.

Seems like we were too far south, cause on the way in we heard on the radio guys got up to 20 yellow fin north in the Lindy in cooler water...... Must get some sleep now !!

I'm going tomorow night - prob to the Lindy or Spencer. How big was the sword and how deep was the sword bait?

It's 9:45 am Saturday.
I just got a call from a guy who went to the Lindy last night, as we where heading back to port from the wilmington 004.
They kept 10 yellow fin and released 6 more. They also had two swords and left them snapping this morning and came home.

Our sword rig was down 120' and caught the big blue shark. We actually caught the sword at 80' on a sardine.... 006 He was a little guy about 80 Lbs.

I'm back. We went to the Lindy. It was like a parking lot! We got 2 yellowfin and one long fin. All on sardines. Sword bait didnt get a touch. The weather got pretty snotty by sun up - a 5 hr ride home.

There were some better reports out there - the spencer had fish.

My turn to sleep now. :)
