I was finally able to thaw out and get back out on the water for a CBBT Flounder attempt. We had a late start and made it out to the fourth island and immediately start marking bait. We drop the wires and pick up three short Flounder up to 18.5 inches and catch the last, a keeper a little over 5lbs. Wind was NNE, incoming tide, squid strips for bait, and as soon as we lost the school of bait the action was over. Chartruese outfished hot pink.
We moved over to tubes and picked up three dogfish.
We did see two seal poking around the fourth island rocks.
Great to be out again, just wish we had gotten out there a little earlier.
Thanks,

Alex

hopefully,if the weather is decent i'll try to get some of those flatties in chincoteague this weekend. weather looks "iffy". from some of the reports i've seen it looks like there's been some nice keepers caught already.surprisingly.i had good luck using "gulp" baits last year.
