I can't figure out how to upload a photo. It always tells me the upload folder is full and to try a smaller file. I reduced the image size to 150 KB. It does not get much smaller than that.
Little help....

Saltyballs, what a name by the way, try this like Slim to None said open an account ( free) on photo bucket. I download my photos to my album on photo bucket then just click on the IMG code window and its copied automatically then come and post on here, or any other board you may be on, and hit paste. It will show up in your message that you are typing as an IMG http// .............but when you hit post, it shows up as your picture... hope that helped Willie 010

In reference to saltyballs original question..........Why does it say that the "upload folder is full"?? I also get "And to contact the administartor". I know we can use other ways thru photobucket, etc. but shouldn't it work when we just want to upload directly? If not why don't we take that option off of this site? 001

Yes,
I'm aware of the message, but thanks for the heads up.
It's not your file that is full. It is the site's file. I could go ahead and empty some old photo's to free up space, but I'm afraid that if I do that and someone wants to search old topics for reference the photo's will be lost.
Don't want to do that, or tick anyone off that took the time to make some good informative potings w/photo's , to help others only to lose it all.
Another thing I could do is pay for more hosting bandwidth, but as you all know it cost $$, which at this moment, I'm not sure I can afford, or make that commitment. The site seems to be doing well & gaining new members daily, but if I spend the $$ I want to make sure it not gonna fold 6 months down the road.
Of course we could always have a membership drive..... ;D
I have a call into my support guy and waiting to here back from him, as he is inbetween 5-6 different sites.
This is the exact reason we try to get most to use the outside picture hosting such as photobucket,,,etc.
Thanks for your support and patience... 013

Hey Harry,
Thank you for the explanation that I needed to hear, and probably a few others as well. I personally don't have a problem at all using photobucket or others out there. This site is doing just fine the way it is, and I think the members here would agree that we don't need anyone or anybody paying for any more band width OR possibly losing some of the great pics on here by deleting to make room.

Harry,
Just currious.....What kind of cost is associated with the extra band width?
Photobucket works for me but you are going to spend 1/3 of the rest of your life explaining this to new members. I hate to see you go through that after all the work you have done for this site.
Maybe he who pays for the years "Extra Band Width" gets his boat on the home page for that year?......Just an idea.
