I noticed that the rubber plug on my depth finder is detiorating, I've keep it coated with a silcone spray that is suposed to protect it from the uv rays. + it helps to plug in easier, but looking at it yesterday if I'm not carful, the pin could touch with just the sligest mis-alignment.and probably blow a fuse. Has any one else had this problem with a lowrance, I don't keep mine plugged in all the time, and I store the cable, this unit is in it's 3 summer, seems to me this is a short life span, especialy if I have to buy a new transducer.
