Went out solo yesterday. Put in in Somers Point. Had a few bites in the elbow channel area on the fly rod, likely they were bluefish.
Went out to the inlet and the bridge had blitzes of blues with birds etc. I had a blast with the flyrod again and got about 7-8 of em and was broken off by a bunch more. I kept some for bait and went out to 35-40 feet off the beach. It was blowing out of the north 20 ish so it was pretty shi##y out there for the skiff. No takers (one bluefish) but was marking bait everywhere.
Came back in and ran up into Risley's /Scull and practiced some more flycasting in the wind. Back home to watch the eagles.

Sorry I missed you both, we were on our way home by 230, then just missed the major traffic from the Eagles game. Did get to the beach for some surf fishing, lots of King fish and sand sharks. Willie 010

Yup, just inside the Second Lonport causeway bridge near the dredge spoils (hills) . If you look to the far left of the picture you can see the base of the bridge.
Got them on the top of the tide when it started going out. Casting into the feeder creeks with a top water zara spook lure.... ;D ;D

Not the one that takes you up to Seaview docks. These creeks are only like 10' wide. You can see the bass busting the bait way up in there..... At low tide there's no water in them.... 005

I was up the second (?) one on the left from the bridge. By the sign on the sodbank. Maybe you were up further.
