So i have finally had some open oppurtunities to get some fishing in FINALLY, and low and behold mother nature doesnt give a crap :) (i edited for a more family friendly message) My gal came down so i could finally get her out fishing, shes never been saltwater before, and we had rediculous wind and 3-5 fts in the sound.....ok 3-5 footers in a 16ft flatty, no thanks. I worked one of those days and a guy came in in his skiff i asked him how he liked it out there, and said it was unbearable, his bilge pump ran non-stop the ride back in. Any ways its been like that for almost a week, and now that the wind is backing down we are having non-stop rain from this stupid thing in florida, it prolly originated in "the swamp" only bad things come from outta there 005 oh well, ive about decided to put on my rain coat and life jacket and go, but i suppose i should wait it out, i hope you guys are getting some fishing in!!

See we had the exact oppisite. Flat as can be and not a ripple in the ocean.

I fished from 6 am t'ill 1 pm and went as far as 5 miles off and fished everwhere in between. Some small blues, weakies, and croakers to show for my efforts. No stripers..... 004


Maybe some bad weather is what I need. Hope you have better luck...... Be Safe

you mean like championships!! 005 ya this weather has sucked. we had 50mph + wind and really bad lightning at my place last night. there are limbs down everywhere in my neighborhood.

Yeah, and wouldn't you know I have a 3 day weekend and its blowing and raining "tropical storm" style!

Oh well, maybe I can salvage something towards Sunday (all this weather should stir up the fishing a bit!).

I hope it does, im planning on going out sunday as well, if the weather will chill out some. Got some good drops for some trout and reds , just have to get to them.......lol good luck this weekend everyone!
