Why would I have 12 volts coming into the light housing itself but no lights? Yes I checked the bulbs*clonk*.

Can you provide more detail?

Are all the lights affected?

Had the lights been working previously?

Is this a re-wire job?

Sorry, I was trying to hurry because I was about to leave.

My lights on the trailer were not working so I decided that I was going to replace them and move them from the trailer itself to the bow guide posts. I ran the wire, and mounted the lights. Now I have no lights at all. I have checked and rechecked the ground as this was my first initial thought. I am getting 12 volts to the bulb but still no joy.

What about the ground on the other end of the harness, up at the tongue?

Here goes a stab in the dark, and I apologize in advance since I don't know your skill level...
If you move the lights to a guide that is PVC, you have to provide a separate ground since the trailer frame won't be touching the light bracket.
If you have both a hot and ground wire to the lights and they don't work, try hotwiring the bulb to make sure the lugs on the bottom work.
If you can get the lightbulb to burn, I would suspect the bulb base in the light. Sometimes they stick to the bottom of the bulb holder and never touch the lugs on the bottom of the bulb. I have also seen lugs on the bulb not match up with the ones in the bulb holder.
Good luck and let us know*Cheers*

Thats it!

I have a yellow and a yellow and brown going from the front to the right hand side light.
I have a green and a green and brown going to the left hand side. There is a ground that is connected to the tongue. Does there need to be another ground for each light? If so I assume the green and brown and yellow and brown would be the ground correct?

Most lights that I have dealt with ground through the mounting studs of the light to the trailer, some have little pigtails in the back of the light for ground.
This is the 'usual' sequence for the color coding:
Yellow: Drivers side stop/turn signal
Brown:Tail lamp, marker lamps, clearance, and license
White:Ground
Green:Passenger side stop/turn signal

You can easily check the ground to the light itself by finding a really clean place on the trailer to attach a wire, then run the wire to the mounting bolt on the light to see if it works
