Does anyone know of a good source for decent aluminum wheels for a Venture trailer. I know I need 13" wheels, just not sure about the width, bolt pattern, etc. Looking to step up from the ugly galv. wheels that I have... since one of them is bent I figured it might be good timing to upgrade.

You could try here;

http://www.trailertires.com/

Or here;

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/NTESearch?Ne=1&Ntt=trailer%20wheels&Ntk=All&storeId=6970&Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&N=124

You'll have to figure out the bolt pattern thingee.

Check that 13" again. That don't sound right for a 24' boat. *006*

And if you find a place, please post back. I need two new galv. 14" but, gotta do the bolt pattern thingee again, damn CRS. *004**004*

Tommy,

It just occured to me that there are some shops that will fix (reform) bent rims. But if you're looking for a reason (excuse ;D ) to upgrade, then ignore what I just said. *Cheers*

yeah, I've had this one repaired already but it still slowly leaks and it's getting worse. Most likely going to have to replace that one so I'm tempted to upgrade them all to something that looks a little nicer. Thanks for the info.

LB, right off hand and without checking, I don't know anybody in this area that does it. My buddy that was outside of Johnson City, TN had to have a rim fixed so that's how I know it can be done. I imagine a phone call or two to one of the tire shops here could turn up a source. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

A ball peen hammer and a tub of water usually fixes steel wheels. Put the tire in the water, mark where the bubbles are, if they are on top hit it with the hammer, if on the bottom pull the wheel out and hit it with hammer. Repeat as necessary. If that does not work and the bend is not bad enough to cause the tire to come off at highway speeds just put a tube in it. A tire shop can determine if the wheel is salvageable but they may or may not be willing to hammer on it because of liability issues. Do not try this on alloy wheels. If you can see a bend, not just a little nick in the wheel with your naked eye, replace it at once.

Hey thinks anyway. I was hoping for a fix on the warped ones I got from RK. Guess I'll just try and find some new/used ones and let these go to someone that doesn't tow far.
