I've seen several posts about trailers. We all know Carolina Skiff does not build their own trailers. I thought I would take a second and post that my bass boat built by Ranger has been building their own custom built trailers since the early '70s. The reason they did was because they were disappointed in the quality of the "universal" trailer available at the time. They actually build all their trailers from the ground up. Since that time, Ranger Trial has because one of the largest trailer manufacturers in the country. They have had several first too...first to use disc brakes in 1987, Road Armour coating, oil bath hubs, and so on.

With that said, I did not post this so it could turn into another "trailer bash" post. I just wanted to share how one company decided to invest in making their own trailers to fit their boats. I will say I based my Continental trailer for the skiff on my Ranger trailers I had on the Bay and Z series.
