Whats up guys? I don't actually own a carolina Skiff yet but I think I'm about to buy a used one. This seems like a pretty cool site and hopefully soon I will officially be in the CS owners club*Cheers*

Later,
Adam

We have some east TX guys around here, but I don't think I have seen a post from your area. ;D

Fish out of my 198 DLV in Texas and love it. My dad fishes out of Houma, La and catches tons of trout and reds but not the size like we do here. I think the skiff would be perfect back in the marshes and lakes over there!

The rig is a J16 with a 4 stroke 40 yamaha on the back. My cousin bought and set it up to fish drum. Now he's in a different line of work and wants to sll it. He only fished it for about 2 months. I think I can get it for a pretty good price. I will mostly be using it to fish in the bayou and duck hunt. I'm going tomorrow to give it a test drive.

Welcome aboard. The j16 is a fantastic shallow water boat, and that 40hp motor is a great match for it. I would guess your speed would be in the low 30s.*thumbsup*

I just found out that the boad isn't the J16 model but rather a DLX*001*. I guess that cold be even better. What do yall think?

Higher gunnels, make you a bit more confident on bigger water, usually trimmed a bit more. Go to Carolinaskiff.com and you can check it out. Very nice boat.
