I installed a 60" shaft riptide and when it's rough it bounces like crazy, have any of you guys used a support, photos would be good. I know they make a stabilizer but thinking og making one out of stainless.
Thanks

I used the standard black support. Do you want pics?

I couldnt find any details on how it mounts to the trolling motor, and if its gotta be removed before using...if you have a pic would be great., I want a support that will not have to be removed for use...and looks clean also, Thanks

This is the one that I have...works great, well worth the money and it easily removes to get it out of the way when needed. Bought it at Cabelas.

I just went the old fashon way with a rod holder strap through bolted with a backing plate. Sorry for the sorry pic as I was really taking a pic of the step/trolling battery box.

This one you have to remove but can be made from scraps laying around if you have them, stainless could work too.

If your trolling motor is mounted at an angle, it should be near the cleat on that side of the boat. Just get a nylon dog collar and strap it to the cleat. Works like a champ and cheap too.
