Where does everyone draw their weather and predicted sea reports from?

Thanks.

In my area: WVEC.com boating forcast, gives winds and sea conditions for the next 4 days.

I use NOAA.

After you go to NOAA check out Weather Underground (http://www.wunderground.com/)for marine forecasts. It's always good to get a second opinion. ;D

Heck, for all I know they probably get their data from NOAA. *006*

NOAA *thumbsup*

Magic Seaweed gives excellent (ground/surface) swell and wind reports as well for the inlets.

NOAA and Weather Underground. weather underground has very good wave height and water temp charts, as well as marine forecasts.

I use the standard NOAA for this area: http://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/fmtbltn.pl?file=forecasts/marine/coastal/am/amz158.txt

This works really good for offshore panning purposes - provided you have a plan "B", and are willing to move there when you get to the inlet and find out plan "A" isn't gonna happen today. ;D

I use wunderground.com cause they pull from every one and consolidate the information! Plus, you can save different areas if you create a profile. This make it easy for deciding where I'm gonna fish.

It always amazes me how far off the weather predictions can be when it comes to wind speed. Most of the other stuff, they tend to get pretty close to perfect, but how many days have we all gone expecting that 5-10 knot wind to have a 15-20 blowing. Always remember, too, that wind conditions change--especially in near-shore situations--with the changes in temperature during the day. Along the Florida coast, we have sea breezes that kick in every afternoon as the landmass heats up--especially in summer. Some of these can kick up a pretty stiff chop. Here is a site that will allow you to compare real-time coastal wind conditions to what is posted on NOAA. Click on your region for a map of "live" bouys and weather measuring stations. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/
