View Full Version : Stripper Stripers on the run again

Went to Glenbernie in New Bern again yesterday and looked all afternoon for something to fish for and couldn't find anything anywhere. *kickrock* Came back to the tressel at sundown and boated about 18-20 stripper stripers ;D between sundown and dark. Most were in the 18" - 20" range with a couple of mid 20" size. *yay* Smokey Joe rattletraps and top water super spooks. :secret: They sure are fun to catch. *014*

Early in the morning i usually go for stripers, at sundown i prefer strippers.;D *laughing**laughing*. But that's just me, others might prefer different rotflmaorotflmaorotflmao.

Good report - that 2 for 2 JAW. I'm gonna have to stake out the New Bern boat ramp and follow you to the striper hole ;D My striper fishing is a little on the "inexperienced" side, but I need to catch a keeper so I can try Harry's Striper/Crab Cake recipe he posted in the Cook Book board this morning *thumbsup*

It depends on which side of the tressle your on. Up river it's two over 18" but none between 22' and 27". On the down river side it's two over 18". At least that's my understanding. They keep it so complicated the average person can't know what's legal.
