Some friends of mine and me have a fishing trip planned to Lake Baccarac Mexico in January of 2009. One of the fishermen has had to cancel and we are looking for a 6th man to fill his slot. You would be fishing for largemouth bass and I assure you that it will be one of the most enjoyable if not the best fishing trip of your life. We will leave for El Paso Texas on comercial airlines, spend first night there to catch a charter flight directly to the lake in western Mexico the next day. Tuesday morning we fly charter to the lodge and spend Tuesday night in the camp and start fishing on the morning of 1/14, fish four days, spend the night of 1/17 in camp and fly charter back to El Paso the next morning for the comercial airline trip back home the afternoon of the 18th. Price for four days fishing, room and board, plus charter part of travel is $2745.00 per person. Comercial flights, one night in El Paso and tips for guide and service personel in camp is in addition. We rent all our fishing gear after we get there, you are welcome to bring your own if you so choose, but we found it much easier and pretty resonable to just rent the stuff after we get there. It's $25 per rod per day and they will give you a tackle box to use with tackle in it and you just pay for what you don't return. Personally I tip the guide $50 per day per person and when I put the first over 10lb bass in the boat I give him an additional $100 for that day. After that he has to get one larger than that to get the upgrade tip. But you can do as you see fit, they will give you a guideline of what acceptable tips are and we usually do above that.

If anyone is interested please google Lake Baccarac and be sure you are on the web site of Terry Holland's lodge. That's where we're going. Check out the fishing reports and I'm confident you will be impressed as this is our third time and we are always very impressed with the accomadations and fishing experence.

If you think you might want to go you can email me or respond on CSO and I'll try to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to check out my album for some of the pictures from our past trips. We are agressively looking for someone to fill the slot so there are no guarantees that it won't already be full as we have feelers out already.

It really is a fishing trip of a lifetime.
