Dealer advises that upon pick-up, the bimini top won't be ready... argh. All he has is a white vinyl top... I expected a blue canvass. Any input on options - he says they use Attwood tops... I'm hoping that since the bow assembly is already attached - dealer can simply have the vendor mail the canvass to my house - saves three hours of driving.

Thoughts?

Hello Maj,
Did you pick the size of the top? BIggest top you could get or?? Hard question, but I think I'd let them put it on, might not be what you wanted to hear, but if anything "becomes damaged" it won't be put on your shoulders, so it delayes your pick up a bit, big deal, how long you waited so far? Would putting it on yourself void any warentee? Just my 2 pennies worth.

I ran into the same problem and agreed to accept a white vinyl bimini (with the boot). It looks good on the boat and more importantly I believe it keeps the boat just a little cooler. A blue top may increase the heat.

Good luck with your new boat.

Thanks for the responses guys - I am absolutely wrought with angst over this thing.. is the Suzuki 4S 40HP going to be enough, is the top going to be an issue. Warranty concern is something I had not considered... although I'm pretty good - I re-topped a 1976 Triumph TR6 myself... I was just concerned that the white vinyl would not look as good as blue canvass...

I'm picking her up tomorrow and the Commander-in-Chief, House is telling me to just shuddup, it'll all be fine. How long have I waited? A long long time. Thought a couple of trips to Iraq was going to pay for this a long while ago... 1 kid 3/4 way through college later.. and finally I'm getting my boat!

Cheers,
