8 ft bimini

Anybody out here using an 8 foot Bimini on a 19 ft CS? I need to replace the 6' on my boat and would really like the extra coverage for fishing in MS & LA. Would appreciate any comments.

The wife wants to put another bimini top on the front of the boat, the 6' isn't much shade, and 1 more foot front and back aren't gonna help much,(we made cardboard cutouts and held them in place to see what differance it'd make, try it before ya spend any hard earned cash) but mabe 2 of 'em???

Good idea with cardboard cut outs. I have a 6' bimini and it doesn't cover much either. I also don't think the extra 2 feet would help much either. I bought an anchor shade for my old boat http://www.ahoycaptain.com/shop/anchorshade.html. It works great, but can be really wobbley. You can't use it under way either. I was thinking about building a removable frame made of of PVC. I just wish I had more time to work on my projects.
