OK...so it is about to be the dead of winter. Lets put our heads together and try to make a CSO fishing tourney.....I hav edone this in years past of diffrent coaching staf's. We could look at using golf rules of pictures of fish and being honest. The tournament could "GO-OFF" at the diffrent locations listed on the "FISHING REPORT" of the site. Could be fun, ....but at the least it would give us something to do in planning it together over the internet!!

Honest and fisherman don't go together ;D
J/K, that is a very good idea, how do we play?

check out 321fish.com they run some good catch, photo, and release tourneys. the key is mandating a uniform fish measuring device. the fish most be photogrpahed on the measuring stick with the entire fish showing. they list all their rules online, so we could use that as a template. like any tournament there is always those who try to cheat. i dont fish many real tournaments anymore, it kinda takes the fun out of fishing. i would be interested in a CSO online tourny though!
I'm in. But how do we handle the diverse weather patterns. right now, the Texas Gulf coast and the Florida coast is hot (fishing wise) with 50 degree nights and 80 degree days. I have fished three times in October (Galveston) and come away each time with a boat load of fish. The east coast is chilly and I assume they have put the boats up for the winter. Do we declare a tournament weekend in May for the south and one in june/July for the north.
OOh, north against the south, that sounds familiar, I have heard of that somewhere??
Sounds fun whatever the rules are.

the 321fish tournys run for like a month at a time. so you can fish whenever you are available. trying to do different regions all in one weekend wouldn't work. giving people a month (or so) to fish allows more flexibility in people's schedules. the most important thing is putting a select group incharge of being the judges, so if there is any questions on fish pics/measurements the judges rule what goes. i think at least 3 people would be enough to handle judge duties.

OK,
Sorry guys glad there is some intrest. I have been working over 120 hours a week with fooball playoffs but now they are over so lets start some plannin. Would it be better to do a regional tourney and mark a halfway point. They the top two from each region go at if for say 2-3 weeks and then we pick the top two and the members vote on it. These are just a few ideas i have rolling around in my scrambled brain!!!!! Scrambled from trying to figure out why we cant throw against a man-free-defence!!!!!
