Went fishing in the Delaware Bay yesterday. Caught about 50, 30 being shark and the rest blues, croaker, 1 flounder, a few skate and one lonely blowfish.

The water was a bit rough on the 21 footer, but the fish were biting so I didnt care! I even got you a pic of the coordinates in case anyone else fishes the area.

Cheers!

Had 2 more pics I took. I'll try and upload some more.

The fish were hitting on everything, shrimp, clam, squid, peeler...didnt matter what you tossed in there. Had one on the line that was really big, but broke my line. I had been catching the smaller fish all day and didnt have my drag set. I learned my lesson...always set it. Not sure what it was, but it was big.....

Thank you. It was a nice day weather wise...but the seas were close to 3 foot...but never went 12 miles out before either! Usually I fish closer.

I got injured at work, and doctor put me out till 10/15, so me and wifee drove from home (upstate ny) to family in Delaware...and of course I took my boat to leave it in Delaware and out of the NY cold. But just had to get out in the water one more time before it got REALLY cold. In NY, its already in 30's at night.....but the walleye and big northern pike were hitting.

Good job with the croakers bluefish and a fluke! I fish DB a bit -mostly in the spring and in another week or two.

That's a great day fishin' bp! Croakers are one of my favorite eating panfish and those look like some nice ones *thumbsup* Thanks for the pics. If I was anywhere in the area, I'd record those numbers *Cheers*

Yes....cleaned those croakers right after the picture was taken. Grilled them up with my special butter and garlic brew I like! They are tasty thats for sure. A pretty good "ending" for my first year with my carolina skiff. Nothing like getting out in the bay like I used to when I was a little boy. Living in upstate NY, its all fresh water fishing....which really is still a bit foreign for an old Delaware Boy like me who is used to daddy waking me up at 5am to hit the good ole Delaware Bay. But hey, I'll eventually learn the freshwater fishing up north...but still nothing like "home" fishing!

Where do you launch in the DB?
I spend a week or two in OCMD every year, and I have been threatening to trailer my boat down to the Delaware or Cape May area to fish for Tautog in the fall.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!
