Who wants to help out CSO ?

Loki was kind enough to make up some business sized printable cards to be printed out and passed around. You can pass these out to your buddies, also at your local marina or bait & tackle shop,,,,,,etc

It is in WORD document format and printing them couldn't be easier.

If you want to help us turn this into a top notch CS site we all feel it could be, then be all means download the document, print out a few cards and get them out there to folks.

I left some at the local bait shops, plus the local CS dealer, and they all thought it was a great idea and great for CS too.

By clicking on the attached document below this post, you can save this file and print it when you have the chance.

Sorry TooTall, I dropped the ball on this. I recently formatted my home computer and don't have the cards on it any more. I'm pretty sure I still have them on my work computer because I designed them while at work. (Don't tell my OP's manager) If I can remember it tomorrow I'll get them out to you or anyone else who might be interested. You might want to shoot me a PM tomorrow to remind me, right now we are in our PEAK season and it will be crazy.

Click on the link in my post. When it opens the new page, type in the code you see at the top left and click download.

Just downloaded and printed a bunch of CSO cards. I'll be visiting a couple of CS dealerships over the next few days looking for a boat and I'll ask if I can leave a stack of cards with them.

We don't have anything as of yet, but if we have someone that is handy with an editing or photoshop program and can make something that would be awesome.

I like the idea of those oval sticker that say where your from, example the outerbanks has them that say OBX, usually they are black and white.

I also like the idea of using the CS font with the "S" wrapped into the "C" like they do, and have it read

I've got some experience editing with Photoshop but it's pretty much limited to photo imaging. I think what we need here is someone creative and/or experienced with making logo's, working with fonts, etc. Something simple "CSO.com" or "Member, CSO.com" might be nice, in the oval shape like Harry suggested. I'd paste one on the rear glass of my truck and maybe even a (larger one) in a strategic place on the skiff.

The only thing about using CSO.com is it's not our URL (site directory) if you type in that it will probably lead to an error message, unless someone is using that Domain name.

If you want to check the availability of a domain name then go to

http://myhosting.com/

and type your name idea in the 'Search Domain' box, click the 'Check Availability' link and it'll spit out what's been taken and what is available.

I checked to see if something like CSO.org or CSO.net was available but they're all taken except for CSO.ca. Usually it's hard to find a domain with a 3 letter acronym that hasn't been swept up by either a legitimate owner or a speculator.
