Anyone do it? I swore I never would, (I would say " I am a real man - none of that artsy bs!!" ;D) but I have learned to broaden my horizons and give it a shot.. I picked up my first rod and reel and will be giving it a go very soon. I've got lots of questions about leaders and such. I know SportGimp does it - he sent me some sweet handtyed flies that I will put to good use soon! (Btw gimpy - that purple bucktail you sent will be a weakfish killer up here!)

Hello,
I'm glad to help out anybody that uses flys , either as "teasers" or flyrod, most of these flys are very easy to tie.
HEY WILLIE, since ya fly fish, jump in here and tell everybody what ya use.

Even of your not a fly fisherman, how would they work as a "teaser" on a topwater plug, or "stinger" tail on a bucktail or something ?

harry, i add fly-like stingers to plugs a lot. the seatrout will destroy a top water plug with a fly tail on some of my favorate flats. and offshore a bucktail on a jighead with a piece of cut bait is deadly to a snapper or grouper (or a striper, i'd imagine for you northen people ;))

Harry,

I fish them on 6 inch dropper loops about 1.5-2 feet above a bucktail.

Thanks and I'm flattered Reggie.

I had a Fly set up when I was a young boy. Never quite mastered it. Maybe someday, I'll give it another try.

But thanks for the offer. I was just wondering if they would make a good teaser for a popper for a bass plug or something. But they would.
