I just installed this Y bow stop last week. I works great. My 218DLV slid off the trailer with ease and without hitting the bow splash guard. I didn't have to do the sudden stop to force my boat to slide. I added an additional bow tie down strap for added security while towing. Check out the pics below.

Did you make the bow stop or you bought it ready? Where? Looks really good.

I bought from Rocket International Trailers. Here's link to their website http://www.rockettrailers.com (http://www.rockettrailers.com/). They don't have it listed on their website, but you can call them and they will know exactly what you are talking about. Just say you are looking for the Y Bow Stop for a Carolina Skiff.

That is exactly what I need and have been looking for - for my 2008 CSJV17. The Center rib does not work with the flat bow stop normally associated with a J17. Any price?

I just happen to know the answer to this Harry, because I was there a few months ago to buy a few parts for my Rocket trailer. They are located in Ft. Myers, FL. I doubt there is more than one "Rocket" brand trailer, although I guess it's possible. The fax # on their website is a (239) area code, which is SW FL. It almost has to be the same place.

Seems like it is from overseas ?? The link I'm seeing says rocket "INTERNATIONAL" Traliers not rocket trailers? *006*

And what about this ?

NOTE:
We distribute our Trailers wholesale only to authorized marine dealers. But we do sell Trailer parts and make Trailer repairs for the general public.

Nevermind,
I now see under the "spinning earth" on their website it says "Ft Myers Fla." Font is weird and hard to read.

FoodPlot - It cost me $88 total, shipped to MD. It was worth it to me. I went out again today and it worked flawlessly.

Harry - Sorry for the late response. Like workinprogress stated, they are located in Ft. Myers, Florida. I called them and ordered it over the phone. The bow stop arrived in less than a week.

Tommy, Thanks for your pictures of Y bow stop. I installed mine today and although I havent launched boat with it, it sure looks likes its going to work and may not even need help putting the boat on or off the trailer.

Just installed the same one and it scratched my boat !

I may need to move it forward !

The bolts that hold the boards on scratch the hull when snugged up to it !

I'm going to add more carpeting to the stop and cover the bolt heads better EZ Fix !

Loaded and unloaded trailer by myself with no problem. Rocket Y is awesome.

Thanks for heads up. Will try to tighten the nuts on the bolts so the heads on the inside of the V are compressed into the wood further so as not to make contact with the hull.
