I was in need of a few pounds of fish for an upcoming fish fry. Enlisted the help of a good friend and fellow catman to get the job done. We had a slow day by Tennessee standards but did get about a dozen and a half for the fry. Big fish on the table was 9 pounds. All caught drifting small pieces of cutbait in 40 feet of water.

12:00 pm this Saturday September 6. If you are coming pm me for directions. We are planning on about 700 people. We have BBQ chicken, pulled pork and ribs. Fries slaw hushpuppies and catfish. Pinto beans, corn bread, turnip greens. Fried pies, homemade ice cream, cakes and pies. Sweat tea and any other soft drink you can imagine. Best of all it is FREE! Actually we put out jars for donations but there is no said charge.

This is benefit fishing rodeo. We did it for a little boy in our church that had a rare disease. Last year he lost his battle with this terrible illness. We now are calling it a memorial benefit with all the proceeds going to a research facility that is seking a cure for the disease.
I suppose you could still call it a family reunion though. It is the family of man coming together for the good of others.;D
