The zebco can handle up to a 22 in red or trout, as long as the drag is set right. The wife and boys use the push button reels. It's alot of fun to watch them battle the fish with the light gear.

We also have some spinning reels. I learned that if, on one of the little (shakespear, kid real pack) you could land up to 19 inch trout the zebcos and push buttons would work just fine. My 8 year old @ the time did it 2 summers ago. Looking foward to spring break! thumbsup

Hanging at the Poop Deck in Galveston - best view on the Island. That rope my left foot is on is what I normally use for fishing line in Galveston. There are some monster fish pretty close to shore. They say if you ever flew over the beach in a small plane when the water was clear you'd never go swimming there again. 7 ft hammerheads are fairly common. *017* *015*
