Who wants to take me fishing ????

I was thinking about adding a trip swap section.

I go down to the Ft Myers area usually every Feb,March, or April, and now that I seem to know some of you guys maybe we could hook up.

If anyone's ever up around AC, New Jersey, maybe I could take you out.......

Think this is a good or bad idea for an additional forum ??

i think the forum could work out. over at one of the gatorsports boards they have a ticket/game swap forum, so why not one for fishing?!?!

But really, good old hospitality seem like a great idea and it could be interesting to meet some of the skiffers from different areas....As I always say, even for a cup of coffeeeee............... :P :)

I know I wouldn't mind taking some of you guys fishing or boating. Any excuse to get out on the water is a good excuse.

I would'nt mind it at all. I'm always looking to learn some new tricks and share some also. To anyone who lives in North West Florida shoot me E-mail and we can set some trips up. Also I would like to get a buddy boat group together to hit some of the offshore wrecks to catch some AJ's, snapper and grouper if anyone is interested.

The Sunshine kyway bridge is the bridge that connects the southern tip of Tampa to Bradenton. There is a shippin channel there that the ships use for the port of tampa. Look at a map of florida on the west coast about mid way down the state. Anna Marie Island is close also. White sandy beaches are everywhere. The place my family likes to go the best here is Egmont Key. If you were going south over the Bridge look off to your right ( West) about 8 miles there is an island with a light house and an oold military fort on it. This is Egmont. On the outyside of egmont the water is clear and the beaches have all kinds of things to see. On the South end of the key there is some bridge concrete debris in about 10 - 15 feet of water that is great to snorkel around. If you are on the inside of the bay the water isn't quite as clear but it is real calm. Great for tubing or whatever. On the north end of the key the water is around 100' deep. This is where the shipping channel is. Alot of big fish on this end. I have seen some huge Tarpon there. I have also caught some nice gag grouper there. In the cooler months alot of people troll big lip plugs in these areas picking up grouper. All and all a real nice place in my own back yard . More then welcome when ever you come around. I can put 30 bucks in the boat and we can go there and spend the whole day running around doing things and still have half a tank when we get finished. A cheap weekend that gets the kids out of the house.
