Hi all, I have been lurking for a couple of months and finally decided to sign up.
Thanks Harry for providing a great place for us to learn and share our knowlege.
My name is Randell Blanchard and I live in Suffolk Va with my Wife Robin and
our chocolate Lab Bailey.
I have a 218DLV w/ 115 Suzuki, 3000lb Road King Aluminum Trailer.
I have had my Skiff for a year now and love it !
We mainly fish in the James River and the Hampton Roads area, we will
venture out into the Chesapeake Bay when the weather permits.
I have made some modifications to make it moreuser friendly.
The latest is a T-Top, it should be completed in a couple of weeks. I added flush mounted rod holders in the rear deck. I added LED lights
on the console, PVC bow cushion/filler and am/fm/ radio.
Thanks again Harry

Welcome aboard Randell.
I just bought my 218DLV this year. It's an awesome boat. I have been looking for cushions for mine. Where did you get yours from? I would like to get the bow cushion and one for the back deck.

Randell,
Welcome aboard. I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to sign up here. If it weren't for you all doing so and particapating, this board wouldn't be what it has become. This site is made for everyone to enjoy as their own.
We are constantly trying to better this place and want to make it a forum for all fisherman, boaters ,& CS owners to find all the help and info they need. Also want to make it so everyone marks it as a favorite, so you can stop by and visit often.... ;)

Tommy the cushion I am refering to is a 3" piece of PVC mounted under the bow lip so the roller doesn't hang up. It also aids when coming in to the dock too fast. It helps to stiffen up the bow. I have pic posted on "The other board"

Thanks Randell. I know exactly what you're talking about now. I have not added that to mine yet. I'm try to fix the bow stop problem another way. I'll post pics when I finish it.
