We have been doing lots of night fishing for Bull Redfish, and needed some lights just to aid us in moving around in a dark boat. I picked up these extremely small LED lights at Boaters World that surface mount

And mounted one low on the front of the console....I used red lights as red does not interfere with night vision

One of these little lights will light up the front of the boat. I mounted another one slightly higher on the front of the rear deck support, so I could sit on the cooler seat and use the light to tie knots, etc.

This shines under the cooler seat as well, and lights the floor all the way to the fuel tank.
I then mounted a light in the livewell, this one is a white light (They didn't have a red submersible light in stock at the time)

Yes, one of the kids left a boiled peanut can in the livewell causing the rust ring.....I have since removed it using On & Off cleaner.

If you do any boating at night, these lights make life much easier and total installation cost was less than $50

Fillet1, thats about what it looks like, but you have few more lights than I do. I was going to add some on the sides of the console as well, but I'm pretty happy with just the two for now.....enough to keep me from busting a toe on something, lol.

Definitely like the red lights for night-time!

Fillet,

I was wondering how many lights you added. I thought it was 3 in the console, but I can't tell if it's more or not. I was wanting to add 3: one each side, and 1 in front. I carry my flourescent work light with me and a spotlight if I need a lot of light, but I think the "enough to not bust a toe" idea is a good one.

I put 3 in the console and one in the rear deck, sweet set up. Also added 2 White leds on the sides of the rear deck for times when you need more light, works nice. Put a white led under my console up on top you can see everything I got stored there (I moved the fuel tank up under the front seat). Put one inside the battery compartment too, and a blue one in the baitwell. Had way to much time on my hands one weekend.

Samurai;

Its only three lights. The one in the front of the console is identical to Chum's. The other two are on either side of the console. They are "step lights" . They have 3 diodes in each one, each aiming a different direction. I mounted the lights on their ends so they shoot the beams out rather than down.

Thanks. I have 2 that my wife got me, but I think I want 3. She also got me the baitwell light, but I've been lazy about putting them in. I guess I need to get it done.
