Took a couple of friends fishing to test this theory all the news channels were discussing about 7/7/07 being a lucky day.

We arrived at our local haunt armed with all the usual baits,....crabs, menhaden and Gulp! shrimp. One of my guests hooks up first using a live crab and lands this nice Bull....

The DataSport Fish and Game forecast predicted "excellent" fishing peaking at 8:30, well, the time stamp on this picture was exactly......8:30. I caught this redfish jigging a Berkley Gulp! shrimp in about 25 feet of water....(the guy in the previous pic needs to learn how to hold the camera still, lol)....

After loosing several Gulp! shrimp to ladyfish (at $1 a piece), I switched to half of a large blue crab and caught this one....

Then hooked up the other half of the crab and caught this one....the camera batteries were about gone, so couldn't use the flash....

Steve (from the first photo) hooked and lost another one when his line broke. Since we were out of crabs, I fished a bunch of dead menhaden from the livewell and pinned 6 onto my 8/0 circle hook and this female couldn't pass it up....

All in all, with a total of 5 bull redfish landed and released, I guess 7/7/07 can be considered a pretty lucky day after all.

Those old bridges were open to fishing for many years, but have fallen into such bad shape that they have been closed to prevent anyone from getting injured (they look like Swiss Cheese from underneath). It sucks for the shorebound fishermen, but makes it easier for me to pick a spot without having to worry about it raining lead, lol..... The guy that turned me onto this spot used to fish it from the bridge.....he much preferes doing it from a CS now, and is also a future CS owner (as soon as he can get one).

Sportskiff, you'd never know the guy in the first pic is from New York! lol.....sure looks like one of the "local yocals".

We have caught as many as 8 on one trip, up to about 48".... here are a couple pics of people I have taken out....

PS....the guy holding the grips in that picture is TrimTab, as you can see, he can move around in any boat and perform just like a set of trim tabs (400 lbs?), lol....hence the name. He's the guy that gets credit for putting me on this spot.

Chunhead,
Sweet report. Thanks for sharing your photo's too !!!

Another thing. Where are you located? We should all put our location under our user names so all know what part of the country we're all from.

You can add this info from the home or forum page, by clicking on the"profile" tab, Then click "modify profile" & finally "Forum Profile Information" . Once here you just add your location.

Thanks again for the cool report. 7/7/07 really was your day. Congratulations !!!

Oops. I usually include my location....no need to keep secrets. Must not have come accross that when signing up......

I'm in Panama City, FL, and catch these fish under the Dupont Bridge whichs leads from Panama City to Tyndall AFB, amazing part is that location is about 9 miles from the Pass to the gulf of Mexico. We can catch them like that and bigger in the pass to the Gulf of Mexico, if you don't mind being waked by large sportfishers cruising at 30 knots. I'd rather catch a few less and do it in comfort and with piece of mind.

Thanks for the comments, I had a request for more pics, so I will be posting more in the picture section soon, we caught about 100 last summer, so I have plenty of pics.
